Located on an oxbow of the Kuskowkim River at the confluence of the Takotna River, McGrath is both a city and tribal village. Despite the community's small population, McGrath is an important economic hub for the area, boasting world-class hunting and is a checkpoint for the Iron Dog snowmobile race and the Iditarod sled-dog race.
McGrath School provides breakfast and lunch to each child at no cost to our families. We also provide all general school supplies. Please provide school/weather appropriate attire including gym shoes. A water bottle is recommended.
